Masao Kaanga, 19, is suspected of shooting Lily Conroy at Hobble Creek Park in Springville on Wednesday afternoon.
Lily Conroy, a senior at Springfield High School, was identified as the teen who was shot at Hobble Creek Park on Wednesday.
The teen girl was mortally wounded, according to the office, but she is on life support so that her organs can be donated.
Who Is Masao Kaanga?
Masao Kaanga was Lily Conroy’s ex-boyfriend and she was shot in Hobble Creek Park in Springville by his ex-boyfriend Masao.
Masao was killed in Springville on Wednesday after killing a 17-year-old girl and then shooting himself.
Police were called to Hobble Creek Park for a welfare check between the two.
Officers arrived at the park to find the two victims with gunshot wounds inside the man’s car.
According to authorities, the male and the girl were previously involved in a relationship that ended on Tuesday night. After their relationship ended, the male allegedly threatened the girl.
Masao Kaanga of Springville died at the spot, while the 17-year-old girl was taken to a nearby hospital. She’s on life support right now.
Springville High Student Lily Conroy Shot By Ex-Boyfriend
In Springville’s Hobble Creek Park, an ex-boyfriend shot a Springville High School student.
Lily Conroy was shot by a 20-year-old ex-boyfriend before fatally shooting himself, according to officials.
Local law officers discovered the two at Hobble Creek Park.
Although it was assumed to be a murder-suicide, no formal ruling had been made by Thursday morning.
The investigation is still underway, but Foster described it as a “possible murder/suicide” in a statement released late Thursday.
Around 3 p.m., police got a welfare check request for the female, which they were seeking for.

After shooting her ex-girlfriend Lily, Masao Kaanga shot himself. Conroy, a shooting victim, and Kaanga, a Springville resident, were both found dead in a car by law authorities.
The attempted murder took place at a local park near Springville. Kaanga apparently shot himself in the head after shooting Conroy.
Lily is still on life support, according to police, because her family wishes to give her organs to a local family in need.
